I volunteered for this organization in August. Lots of exotic scenery and fascinating people.

Southeast Asia is bursting with images that you'll never get out of your head.  Some of them will surprise you, others will horrify you.  Still, some will amuse and comfort you.  The only constant about Southeast Asia is that it's got a bit of something for everyone.  You owe it to yourself to come here at least once.

Cambodia Will Disturb and Delight You

This little girl was in Banteay, one of the smaller temples the tour guides recommend for quiet reflection.  I noticed her after about 45 minutes wandering around the temple grounds.  I was shocked that her mother would leave her alone to care for her very young sibling, and I was taken back by her happy demeanour.  I motioned to her with my camera and she came to this spot here, near the temple entrance.   After taking the picture I showed her this image on my camera's digital display and she squealed in joy.
